Short answer: Measure the bolt that joins your lower rear A-arm to the hub: 10 mm is M10 and 12 mm is M12. Per the Camoplast (formerly Camso) application guide, RZR 900s from 2015 to early 2016 use M10, and 2016.5 and newer use M12. The RZR S 900 switched in mid-2015. Then pick the kit that also matches your power steering (EPS or non-EPS).
The Polaris RZR 900 is one of the easiest machines to order the wrong tracks for. Camoplast makes separate 4S1 kits based on two details most owners have never checked: the size of the rear A-arm bolt (M10 or M12) and whether the machine has power steering. The Camso application guide lists eight different RZR 900 kits because of this.
Why the A-arm bolt matters
To install the rear tracks, you remove the bolt that links the lower suspension arm to the wheel hub. The kit’s anchor bracket then goes under the A-arm, and a new bolt from the kit goes back through the bracket, the A-arm and the hub. Polaris changed that bolt from M10 to M12 partway through production, so Camoplast builds a bracket and bolt for each size.
Step 1: Check the year (rough guide)
| RZR 900 version | M10 rear A-arm bolt | M12 rear A-arm bolt |
|---|---|---|
| RZR 900 / Trail / Sport (no power steering) | 2015 to 2016 | 2016.5 to 2023 |
| RZR 900 EPS / Trail / XC / Premium / Ultimate | 2015 to 2016 | 2016.5 to 2023 |
| RZR S 900 / Trail / Sport (no power steering) | 2015 | 2015.5 to 2023 |
| RZR S 900 EPS / Premium | 2015 | 2015.5 to 2020 |
Source: Camso ATV/UTV application guide (February 2023). A “.5” year means Polaris made the change mid-year, so a 2016 RZR 900 (or a 2015 RZR S 900) can go either way. If your machine falls in a change year, do Step 2.
Step 2: Measure the bolt (the sure way)
- Park on level ground and look behind a rear wheel at the lower A-arm where it meets the hub (knuckle).
- Find the through-bolt that joins the two.
- Measure the threaded shank with calipers, or check it with a metric thread gauge. 10 mm = M10. 12 mm = M12. The M12 is noticeably thicker when you compare them side by side.
- Not sure? Take a clear photo of the bolt next to a tape measure and text or email it to us with your VIN.
For reference, aftermarket replacement listings for the 2015 RZR 900 lower rear A-arm bolt (Polaris part 7519042) list it as M10 x 165mm.
Step 3: Match power steering
Camoplast also splits the RZR 900 kits by power steering. EPS machines and non-EPS machines use different sprocket sizes front and rear, so the kits are not interchangeable. If your dash or model name says EPS, choose an “EPS / With Power Steering” kit.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my RZR 900 has M10 or M12 rear A-arm bolts?
Measure the bolt that joins the lower rear A-arm to the wheel hub. An M10 bolt has a 10 mm shank and an M12 has a 12 mm shank, so calipers or a thread gauge will tell you for sure. As a rule of thumb from the Camoplast fitment guide, 2015 to early 2016 RZR 900s use M10, and mid-2016 (2016.5) and newer use M12. The RZR S 900 switched earlier, in mid-2015.
What does 2016.5 mean for a RZR 900?
It means Polaris changed the part during the 2016 model year. Some 2016 RZR 900s have M10 bolts and some have M12, so year alone is not enough. Check the bolt or send us your VIN.
Why does the bolt size matter for tracks?
The track kit’s anchor bracket mounts at the lower A-arm to hub joint, and the kit supplies a new bolt for that joint. A kit built for M10 will not fit an M12 machine properly, and the reverse is also true. That is why Camoplast sells separate kits.
Does power steering change which RZR 900 track kit I need?
Yes. Camoplast lists separate kits for RZR 900s with and without power steering (EPS), and they use different front and rear sprocket sizes. You need to match both the bolt size and the steering type.
Can I just drill the bracket to fit the bigger bolt?
We do not recommend it. Ordering the kit made for your machine keeps the fit, the torque specs and the warranty correct.
