How to install Camso UTV Track System on your UTV
Before you start: what you need to know
Safety first: Park on level ground, set the brake, chock the tires and use a jack and stands.
Give yourself room: Tracks are heavier and tighter to maneuver than tires, so plan extra time and space.
Front vs rear is different: The front install is mostly about lining up the A-arm brackets and sprocket. The rear uses a slide onto the swing arm plus bracket bolts.
Use hand tools for final tightening: This helps you avoid over-tightening and makes it easier to snug everything evenly.
Tools that make the install easier
Impact driver: Faster lug nut removal and install.
Powered ratchet: Helpful for tight angles.
Wrenches: 15 mm and 17 mm are used together for bolts and nuts.
Flathead screwdriver: Helps with leverage and lining up holes when you are feeding bolts through multiple pieces.
Safety gear: Gloves, safety glasses and knee pads make a big difference.
Helpful tips from UTV-Tracks
Tip: jack it higher for track installs: You usually need more clearance than a normal wheel swap.
Tip: start bolts by hand: It prevents cross-threading and makes alignment easier.
Tip: alternate tightening: Snug both sides evenly so nothing shifts.
Tip: inspect while you are in there: Washers, bolts and bogey wheels should be in good shape before your next season.
